Speaker's Forum to present lecture titled 'Racism is Not the Problem'

Worcester, Mass. - Dinesh D'Souza, former member of the Reagan Administration, best selling author and conservative public policy maker will deliver, "Racism is Not the Problem," a Speakers Forum lecture at Clark University, at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, in Daniels Theater, Atwood Hall, Downing Street.

D'Souza will share his unique views on issues of race, the politics of racial profiling and affirmative action, and the paradox of diversity in America.

D'Souza's books have had a major influence on public opinion and public policy. His two most recent books are the bestselling "What's So Great About America" and "Letters to a Young Conservative." In 1991 he published "Illiberal Education," the first book to publicize the phenomenon of political correctness. In 1995 D'Souza published "The End of Racism," which became one of the most controversial books of the time and a national bestseller.

D'Souza is the Robert and Karen Rishwain Fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. He has been called one of America's most influential conservative thinkers by The New York Times Magazine. Before joining the Hoover Institution, D'Souza was the John M. Olin Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. In 1987-88 he served as senior policy analyst at the Reagan White House. From 1985 to 1987 he was managing editor of Policy Review. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Dartmouth College in 1983.

D'Souza's articles have appeared in virtually every major magazine and newspaper, including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic Monthly, Vanity Fair, New Republic, and National Review. He has appeared on numerous television programs, including the Today Show, Nightline, The News Hour, O'Reilly Factor, and the Dennis Miller Show.
