Black Women's Health Summit at Clark May 13

Worcester, Mass. - The Third Annual Black Women's Health Summit, an interactive educational experience with presentations by notable health experts, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Saturday, May 13, in Tilton Hall, Higgins University Center, Clark University. This year's theme is "Jump Start to a Healthy Life."

Clark University, the American Heart Association, March of Dimes, and the Worcester Healthy Start Initiative sponsor this event. Cost is $10 and includes a buffet lunch. Early registration is encouraged (May 1).

The following will speak at the summit: Dr. Lynn Rosenberg, Boston university School of Epidemiology, founder and researcher of the Black women's Health Study; Nikki Burnett of the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association; Jo-Anna Rorie, CNM, MSN, MPH, FACNM, of the Boston University School of Public Health; and Tamiko Byrd, founder and owner of Soul Fitness in Rochester, NY.
