UPCS No. 68 in Newsweek's Best High Schools Top 100

WORCESTER, MA- In the May 9, 2005 issue of Newsweek, the University Park Campus School - a neighborhood secondary school formed in partnership with Clark University and the Worcester Public Schools - was named the 68th best high school in the nation. In “The 100 Best High Schools in America,” Newsweek “unveils the top schools across the country and suggests what others can do to make the grade.”

The University Park Campus School opened in 1997 as a partnership between Clark University and the Worcester Public Schools. Because of its demanding curricula, strong faculty, and culture of excellence, UPCS has compiled an unparalled record of achievement and been lauded as a model for collaboration between a university and an urban school district. Every student at UPCS has passed the MCAS graduation test on the first try and every graduate has attended college. Students are able to attend Clark University free of charge upon graduation, provided they meet certain residency and admissions criteria.
