Step 3: Proofread your poster

After you send your information to the designer, you will get a pdf proof back with all of the information and your photo (if applicable) now in the template. Carefully proofread your poster to make sure all the information is correct and that there are no typos or spelling errors.

Designers are not responsible for proofreading. Any errors in the final printed poster will be your error, not the designer's. This is standard practice.

Proofreading tip

Read from the bottom up and backward. In other words, don't read each word backward, but read each word from the end of each sentence to the beginning. This takes the words out of context, allowing you to see errors better.
