The New Media Lab
The New Media Lab (NML), located in room 004 Carlson Hall, is a place where faculty, staff and students can access an array of equipment and assistance for the production of graphics, animation, audio and video materials.
Within the NML there are two Apple computers and two Windows PCs equipped with a variety of leading multimedia development applications. In addition there is a DV/VHS video deck for importing, exporting, and converting video material; two flatbed scanners handling color images as well as documents; and a film scanner for digitizing slides and negatives. Each machine is also ready to accept connections to USB or FireWire peripherals, including digital cameras, digital video cameras, and external hard drives.
Poster Printing services are also available in the New Media Lab.
NML Hours
The hours of the New Media Lab will be determined every semester based on student staff availability. Faculty or staff may contact the Help Desk or the Academic Technologist for their department to arrange for access to the NML outside of "open" hours.
