George Perkins Marsh Institute

The Center for Risk and Security (CRS)

The Center for Risk and Security (CRS) at the George Perkins Marsh Institute conducts in-depth studies of homeland security issues using a risk and decision analysis perspective. The Center's broad range of security issues includes: terrorism; disaster and hazards management; law and human rights; resource allocation; critical infrastructure; social dimensions of risk; and international trade security.

CRS's purpose is to adapt and develop risk and decision methods for analyzing security issues, conduct critical reviews of plans for addressing such issues, and assist private and governmental entities in planning and policy development.
