Head Coach Pat Glispin One of only four New England Division III coaches to reach the 400-win plateau, Coach Glispin will enter her 25th year directing the Cougar basketball program. Glispin, who has posted eleven 20-plus win seasons at Clark, has compiled a 435-211 overall mark, ranking her 19th nationally among active Division III coaches.

In 2000 and 2004, the Cougars won the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Tournament and earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Under Glispin's direction, Clark made it to the conference tournament championship game five consecutive years from 1996-2000, and won four titles in the last 12 years. A two-time NEWMAC Coach of the Year, Glispin has led the top team in the conference three times. Glispin's teams have earned seven NCAA berths to go with a host of ECAC Tournament bids and have won a record three ECAC New England Division III Championships. In 1989, Glispin was named Converse District 1 Coach of the Year.

Throughout her career, Glispin has produced many prominent players including three national Kodak All-America players (including one two-time selection) and five regional All-America selections, as well as one GTE Academic All-American national selection. Glispin also has coached the ECAC and New England Women's Basketball Player of the Year six times.

A 1975 graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Glispin received a bachelor's in physical education and a master's in psychological education. Glispin is a former University of Massachusetts Division I three-sport star (basketball, softball and field hockey).

Assistant Coach Marge O'Brien '83

Margie O’Brien ’83 will enter her 18th season with the women’s basketball program. One of the most talented basketball players to graduate from Clark, O’Brien earned numerous accolades, including three-time All-America First Team selection in 1981, 1982 and 1983. A two-year captain, she was the 1983 Division III National Player of the Year and was a finalist for the Honda Broderick Award, given to the top female collegiate athlete in the country. She was the recipient of the M. Hazel Hughes Award, presented to the senior female athlete who has had a significant impact on the Clark athletic program.

A premier post player during her playing days, O’Brien led Clark to back-to-back NCAA Division III Final Four appearances in 1982 and 1983. In her four seasons, Clark sported an 82-35 record and won NCAA Northeast Championship titles in 1982 and 1983. O’Brien is Clark’s top rebounder (1,367) and second all-time leading scorer (2,215 points) and is the only Clark player, male or female, to break the 2,000 point and 1,000 rebound marks. For her accomplishments, O’Brien was featured in Sports Illustrated’s “Faces in the Crowd” section in 1983.

Prior to Clark, O’Brien served as head women’s basketball coach at Anna Maria College in the 1985-86 season. She has assisted the Clark women’s basketball program since 1986.

Assistant Coach Sharon Broadard

Sharon (Price) Broadard will enter her second season as assistant coach for the women's basketball team.

Broadard joined the staff after working as Associate Head Coach for the Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School boy’s varsity team for the past four years (2003-07). Prior to Assabet, she also held stints at St. Mary’s High School, where she was the head girl’s varsity basketball coach from 1999-2002 and assistant from 1995-1997.

A former guard, Broadard played varsity basketball at South High School and Doherty Memorial High School, where she helped the Highlanders advance to the District Finals her senior year. The two-time Telegram and Gazette All-Star and All-Central Massachusetts selection then took her basketball talents to Springfield College (1979-82). A three-year starter at SC, she set new marks for career-assists (461) and single-season assists (198).

Broadard earned a bachelor’s in education from Worcester State College and a master’s degree from Cambridge College.

Assistant Coach Nicole DiMarzio

DiMarzio begins her first season with the Clark women's basketball program. The Spencer, Mass., native was a four-year point guard at David Prouty High School, where she captained the Panthers junior and senior year. The two-time Telegram and Gazette Super-Team member was also a 1,000-point scorer and first-team academic all-state honoree.

DiMarzio played one varsity basketball season at Skidmore College before being sidelined by injuries. That year, she set a record for three-pointers in a game, earned Skidmore Invitational's first-team honors and was selected to the Liberty League's All-Academic team.

DiMarzio went on to serve as a student assistant coach during the 2006-07 campaign at her alma mater. She has also worked camps around the area, including the Sutton High School instructional camp and Holy Cross girl's basketball camp.

DiMarzio graduated from Skidmore College in 2007 with honors and a bachelor's in exercise science. She is currently pursuing her master's in sport pedagogy from Baylor University.
