2009 Alumni Elected Trustee Ballot

As chair of the Board of Trustees of Clark University, I strongly encourage you to cast your vote today for the University's next alumni-elected trustee. Clark alumni find many ways to stay involved with their University-generously giving of time, talent and financial support. It has been a special pleasure to see the strong growth in the past few years of the Alumni and Parent Admissions Program (APAP). APAP volunteers allow Clark to offer a growing number of prospective students the chance to connect with alumni who can speak personally and knowledgeably about the Clark experience. In addition, alumni have volunteered their time serving on the alumni board, on reunion committees and as career mentors. In this, as in so many other roles, alumni are our most effective ambassadors.

In my years on the Board, I have also seen the invaluable contributions alumni make through their service as trustees. Many of these trustees have been chosen by a vote of their fellow alumni, a process that ensures that those who know and care about their alma mater are well represented on the Board. By casting your vote, you can help to determine the makeup of the body that is ultimately responsible for the crucial decisions that will shape the University's future. Your Alumni Association Nominating Committee has done an excellent job of identifying three outstanding candidates for your consideration. Please take the time to read the candidates' statements and to decide which person you would most like to see join the Board this spring as an alumni-elected trustee.
