The A. Kyei Atupem '82 International Endowed Internship Fund in memory of Gary S. Poor
A. Kyei Atupem, a member of the Class of 1982, established this fund in memory of Gary S. Poor in 2004. This scholarship provides undergraduate internships in the Global Studies program for students of high academic achievement, deserving of financial assistance and attending Clark from Ghana, Africa; or the continent of Africa.

James and Ada Bickman Summer Science Research Internships for Undergraduates
Established in 1989 by James Bickman, Class of 1939, and his wife Ada Bickman, this fund supports summer research internships for undergraduate students majoring in the biological and physical sciences. Awards are granted to students in their junior year, for research to be conducted between their junior and senior years.

Sara Bickman Music and Arts Summer Internships for Undergraduates
In 1991, James Bickman, Class of 1939, and his sons Martin and David Bickman established this internship in memory of his wife and their mother, Sara Bickman. This fund supports summer internships for undergraduate students majoring in the visual and performing arts. Awards are made to students in their junior year for projects to be conducted between their junior and senior years.

Lawrence M. Franks MA '73 and Ellen S. Berelson Scholarship Fund for Graduate Students in International Development
Lawrence M. Franks and Ellen S. Berelson established this fund in 2003 to support a graduate student in international development, with preference given to a candidate with prior volunteer service in the Peace Corps, Job Corps, or other such organization dedicated to international community improvement.

Stanley Geschwind Memorial Summer Research Internship for Physics Undergraduates
This fund was established in 2000 by Stanley Geschwind's sons Daniel, Benjamin and Michael; his daughters-in-law Ethelyn and Sandy; his former students Jonathan Goldstein, Class of 1997, and Jenny Sun, Class of 1998; and Clark parent Melvin Goldstein, in honor of Stanley Geschwind to support summer research internships for undergraduate students majoring in physics.

Lois M.P.A. '78 and Robert '49 Green Endowed Undergraduate Internship Fund
Lois B. and Robert F. Green established this fund in 2000 to support undergraduate student internships in the city of Worcester, intended to compliment Clark's work through the University Park Partnership and the University's Urban Development and Social Change Program.

June Patron ’65 Endowed Internship Fund
Established in 2007 by June E. Patron ’65 this fund provides support for
students electing to spend a semester interning in any component of the
Executive Branch of the U.S. Government in Washington, D.C. This fund can be
used to offset travel costs, assist in housing, or any other purpose deemed
necessary.

Arthur Martell - Thomas T. Sugihara Summer Science Internship Award
In 1992, Dr. Lester B. Jacobson established this fund to support an outstanding undergraduate chemistry student to work with a senior chemistry faculty member during the summer.

Frederick M. and Alice Murdock Summer Science Internship Program
Established by Frederick M. Murdock '30, M.A. '31 in 1998, this fund provides support for summer research internships for undergraduate students majoring in chemistry. Awards are made to students in their junior year, for research to be conducted between the junior and senior years.

Carmine and Josephine Barbera Faculty Fellowship Fund
Raymond E. Barbera and Pina Barbera established this fund in 1997 in memory of Professor Barbera's mother Josephine and his first wife Carmie to provide faculty fellowships in the University's Department of Foreign Languages and Literature.

Lise Anne and Leo E. Beavers, II Endowed Fellowship Fund
In 1989, Drs. Leo E. and Dorothy J. Beavers, Class of 1949 established this fund in honor of their son, Leo E. Beavers, II and in memory of their daughter, Lise Anne Beavers, to provide fellowships to students or faculty members for research into the biochemical, neurological or genetic causes and/or defects causing mental retardation or mental illness.

Gustaf H. Carlson Endowed Graduate Fellowship Fund
Gustaf H. Carlson '26, M.A. '27, D.Sc. '77 established this fund in 1992 to provide a fellowship for graduate students in the chemistry department of high scholastic ability and character, who are deserving of financial aid.

The Elnora W. Curtis Fund was established in 1964 to establish a fellowship for graduate students.

Dr. Herman W. Dorn Endowed Memorial Graduate Fellowship Fund
Established in 1988 by Mrs. Herman Dorn in memory of her husband, Dr. Herman Dorn, '35, A.M. '36, Ph.D. '38 to provide a fellowship for a master's or doctoral candidate in biology or chemistry who is completing coursework or doing original research.

This fund was established in 1889 by Mrs. Eliza W. Field to provide for the needs of a scholar or fellow.

Howard Fromson Endowment for Graduate Student Support
In 2003, Howard Fromson established this fund to support the educational needs of graduate students in the Strassler Family Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies.

This fund was established in 1932 by Austin S. Garver to provide a fellowship.

Established in 1963 through the funds raised on the centennial of Dr. Robert Goddard's birth, these fellowships are awarded to physics students.

Madeline T. and Winthrop G. Hall International Fellowship
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel I. Tillman, members of the F.H. Daniels family, and other friends established this fund in memory of Madeline T. and Winthrop G. Hall to provide a fellowship for a foreign student of good character and high scholastic ability who is deserving of financial aid.

Harvard Design and Mapping Co. Inc. Endowed Graduate Fellowship Fund
In 2003, Kija Kim established this fund to provide a graduate fellowship in the Geography Department for international students.

The Alan A. Jones Endowed Graduate Fellowship Fund in Chemistry
In 2006, this fund was established in memory of Clark University
professor Dr. Alan A. Jones. Professor Jones was a member of the chemistry
department for more than thirty years and was instrumental in reinvigorating
the department's research program at both the graduate and undergraduate
level. His legacy of deep and caring involvement in the mentoring of
students will always be remembered. This fund endowed by Professor Jones’
family, friends and colleagues enhances graduate study in chemistry through
support for graduate student attendance at conferences, conference related
expenses, and graduate fellowship opportunities. |
Morton L. "Sonny" Lavine Foundation
This foundation was established in 1944 by Morton L. "Sonny" Lavine, a Lieutant in the U.S. Army during World War II, to establish a fellowship or grant-in-aid in promotion of research work in the History and International Relations departments.

William Libbey Fellowship in Physical Geography
This fellowship was established in 1931 by Mary E. Libbey to support a fellowship in physical geography or to aid the Geography Department.

Walter W. and Phyllis B. Lucasse Graduate Fellowship Fund
Th is fund was established in 1989 by Mrs. Phyllis B. Lucasse A.M. '18, Ph.D. '19 in recognition and appreciation of the support she and her husband Walter W. Lucasse A.M. '20, Ph.D. '21 received from Clark to provide fellowship support to graduate students who are deserving of financial aid.

Michael L. Macewicz Endowed Fellowship Fund
This fund was established in 1992 by Agrippina A. Macewicz M.A. '45, Ph.D. '64 in memory of her father Michael L. Macewicz to provide fellowships to graduate students who are of high scholastic ability, deserving of financial aid and whenever possible studying in the Graduate School of Geography.

Rose Family Fellowship
Sidney and Rosalie Rose established this fund in 1997 as the first graduate fellowship associated with the Strassler Family Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies. This fund supports doctoral students in Holocaust history who may receive the Rose Fellowship for up to five years based on academic performance and financial need.

Morton H. Sigel ’51 Endowed Fellowship Fund
In 2007 this fund was established in memory of distinguished business
leader and University Trustee, Morton H. Sigel ’51, to provide financial
support for Clark MBA students who have strong academic backgrounds and a
demonstrated commitment to community service. |
David C. Steinbrecher '81 Endowed Undergraduate Fellowship Program
This program was established in 2005 by family and friends in memory of David Steinbrecher, Class of 1981, to encourage and support Clark undergraduates in their pursuit of original ideas, creative research, and public service or enrichment projects. The program seeks to foster the creation of a vibrant community.

Tapper Graduate Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 1999 by Albert Tapper to support graduate students
in Holocaust and Genocide Studies.

The John Henry Thompson ’41 Endowed Graduate Summer Research
Fellowship in Geography
This fellowship fund was established in 2006 in memory of John Henry
Thompson ’41, by his wife Majorie. A professor of economic geography at
Syracuse University for 32 years, Dr. Thompson was the author of four books
and best known for Geography of New York State, a standard reference work.
This fund enhances the research award offered to an exceptionally well
qualified applicant to the Ph.D. program in geography. This fellowship helps
Clark attract the most outstanding doctoral candidates by providing
guaranteed funds to be applied to the recipient’s research during the summer
following his or her first year in the program. Whenever possible, the award
will be made to a student whose focus is economic geography or environmental
sustainability. If for any reason the fellowship is not awarded as stated
for summer research, it provides financial assistance to a graduate student
in geography. |
Byung Won and Yusil Park Endowed International Graduate Student Fellowship Fund
This fund was established in 2001 by Byung Won and Yusil Park, parents of Hogunn Park, Class of 2000, to provide a graduate fellowships for international students who are of high scholastic ability and who are deserving of financial assistance.
